PHILIPS NORTH AMERICA (Magnavox CATV)
- Upgraded manufacturing from manual/semi-automated electronics assembly to an automated flexible system. Managed a staff of 44.
- Trained in Einhoven, Holland, electrically and mechanically, on the MCM III, an SMD deployment machine.
- Trained in Krefeld, Germany, on a fully automated European Philips PC board and hybrid production facility.
- Effectively implemented and maintained the advanced manufacture of SMD (Surface Mounted Deployment, using the Philips MCM III, 4 head machine. (One assembled PC board every 2.6 seconds with placement capability of 111,000 SMD devices per hour.)

- Supported five ABS launchings for production of PC boards for tractors, trailers, and buses, such as:
- Introduced dual action vibration testing of all PC boards during development and production to insure a high quality and robust assembly.
- Introduced the use of Stycast epoxy to encapsulate the ABS assemblies.
- Designed and developed 4 selective solder machines to accommodate solder paste, bump-up, and preform technology, (solder donuts and multi-pin preforms) with clean and no-clean fluxes.
- Supported wafer and bonding processes of off-site manufacturing.
- Provided written processes for soldering, and epoxy mixing and dispensing of filled epoxies.
- Supplied soldering workshops and repair of PC boards to engineers, production technicians, and operator/assembles of vendor production to meet IPC standard, U.S. standards, and military standards.
- Supported surface mount attachment (SMD) on Fugi, Panasonic, and Universal equipment.
